Summer Day Camp
Project ZOOM
Project Zoom (Zealously Organizing Others for Movement) is a free alternative camp open to youth of the Greater Roseland area. The camp has a unique focus on community organizing and civic engagement. The mission of Project Zoom is to move Greater Roseland youth towards becoming active community members.
Movement is a running theme in Project Zoom: movement through organizing, sports, recreation, transportation, arts, culture, green strategies and field trips. Project Zoom incorporates tutoring, life skills training and encourages reading in camp.
The camp runs from June 27, 2011 through August 19, 2011 from 9:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. and is held at Lilydale First Baptist Church. It is free and open to the community.
Project Zoom proves that you don’t have to be an adult to make a significant positive impact upon the community.
