The Mission Union of Lilydale First Baptist consists of 11 circles, each of which engages in a ministry project. The President of the Mission Union is Sister Ruby M. Cooper.

The Preamble: Being cognizant of the Great Commission given to the Church by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, we the Mission Union of Lilydale First Baptist Church pledge our existence to be doers in the mission of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

The Mission: The membership of the Mission Union is divided into Circles for the enlistment of individual members in intensive study. The purpose of Circles in a Mission Union is to obtain a more general attendance and interest of the individual member in the work of the entire Mission Union, and to develop leadership among the members. We worship and glorify God through: Spreading and teaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ; Leading sinners to Christ; Urging believers to walk in the Spirit; Lifting the fallen and aiding the poor; Visiting the sick and imprisoned; Cultivating the lives of the believer; and Feeding the homeless.

The Ministry: The Missionary ministry is an evangelistic vehicle in which one can utilize and demonstrate love to God through obedience. Christ's last command to His disciples was "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations...." Obedience is truly a test of discipleship. Working in the Mission Union gives one an opportunity to take an active role in God's plan for salvation. The Apostle Peter clearly stated that God's desire is for no man, genetically speaking, to perish (2 Peter 3:9). Jesus died and paid that cruelsome, sinful ransom debt for all mankind. No disciple through idleness should keep back a part of that great price. We are admonished not to be slothful in serving the Lord. We have been entrusted to continue the ministry that Jesus has set forth here on earth. Uniting with the Mission will help further the work of God's kingdom, that is so much needed. It is emphatically stated in Matthew 9:37 that there is a need for laborers. The harvest is GREAT but the laborers are few.

The Invitation: The Mission needs you. There is a right fit just for you within our Circles, Young Woman's Auxiliary, Jr. & Red Circle Girls, or the Sunshine Band. "...Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another." We must help bear the burdens of others. Jesus is tendering calling us to be His feet, hands, mouth, ears, and eyes. Do not disappoint Him. COME and let us labor together in love.

For His Glory!
